Pretty teenager Elisabeth (Vivian Hanjohr) is the daughter of a leading Party official. Her moods seem to be dominated by boredom and lazy disaffection. One morning her father drops her off at school, and that is the last time she sees him alive. There is a funeral, mother and daughter comfort each other, and they share memories. Trying to move on, in a half-hearted sort of way...
