This early student short, made by Tsangari in Texas, begins just as Attenberg would years later – with a strange kiss. The kiss fills the entire frame: a woman’s tongue extracts tiny silver beads from a man’s mouth. Is it a dream? A dream within a dream? Or a world stranger than either? In this surreal landscape – part Alice in Wonderland, part educational film spoof – clothing...
