"The script of the picture is based on the story of A. Gaidar "RVS". Bolshevik Vasily and his comrade flee from the White Guard torture chamber. They take refuge in a hut near the village of Olkhovka. Dimka, a boy of about twelve, son of Vasily, brings them food. Brother of the latter, local richer Kondrat, betrays both Bolsheviks to white.
