In July 1975 Ritwik Kumar Ghatak(1925-1976) commenced shooting on the famous sculptor and painter Ramkinkar Baij(1906-1980) at Shantineketan for a stretch of four days. Later he had wanted to add on more to the film shooting. Unfortunately Ritwik Kumar Ghatak passed away on 6th February 1976. The film remained incomplete.
